Hallow’s Eve

‘Tis not a sound to be heard
on this eerily night,
not a bump or woot of an owl,
but some have said
that when the moon is full,
out come the wolves and howl.
As midnight arrives,
the children all home in their beds,
the ghosts and the goblins
come out in full force
and the horseman comes for your head.
‘Tis Hallow’s Eve
the bloodiest night of the year
when the dead rise from their graves
and they come for brains
the living stay inside out of fear.
But don’t be fooled by the sights you see
and don’t open your doors
the witches and vampires rule this night
and there is no place for you to flee.
