Describe a typical day in your current life.
For the past 3 weeks, I have been dealing with a head cold turned bronchitis. I’ve been asleep more than I have been awake. When I am awake, I sip hot tea or broth, check emails, answer important ones and then go back to bed. I have enjoyed my fever-induced dreams as they seem more real than real life.
Illness can a perfect time to withdraw from the world and simply be. Although I found it frustrating being confined to my bed with flu (as I was last Xmas), it was an opportunity for reflection. Perhaps that’s one of the functions of illness…
You may just be correct, Rachael. I know I slow down considerably when I am ill and I do spend a lot of time reflecting. Our bodies do need to recharge sometimes, as well as our minds. Thanks so much for reading and commenting!
