small stones – March 11, 2016

never one to tread
well-worn paths
I forged my own way
through mud
or over streams
deep into forests
or sandy beaches
even through lands
made of pure fantasy
and if I wandered
down a twisted path
for the last time
I can honestly say
my life was never
ever ordinary

Such a beautiful poem for life. If or when you do go down that last path, this should be read at your memorial. Not to be morose, but what a beautiful send out!

Sometimes ordinary is okay. But yeah, to discover a new path and try it for the first time is more fulfilling.

A thought provoking post, Lori. 🙂
