Precious memories arise
leave me longing
for those days wrapped
in poetry and prose
living my dream
and then the tragic memories
float by, depression
and pain, a mind void
of the chattering of muses
no poetry or prose flows
And as I sit here
I am reminded of how quickly
a life can journey
from health to sickness
to health and dreams once more
Your blog is a delight as it this entry!
Thank you, dear 🙂
You’re welcome!
“I am reminded of how quickly
a life can journey
from health to sickness”
This line of your poem hits right at home for me. I just lost my uncle on Monday and as we prepare for his home going service I am reminded of how well and healthy appearing he seemed on Friday evening, and how life was taken from him just a few days later.
Thank you so much for sharing this poem.
My condolences, dear.. so sorry about your uncle… And you are most welcome for the sharing of this poem… blessings to you and your family 🙂
Thank you so much 😊
